Trey has been shoeing my horse Westin for 3 years.
Westin has a very strange left front foot. Trey knows exactly
what to do with that foot and I never have to worry about it.
I honestly think because Trey is so conscientious and also a perfectionist
he has kept my horse Westin sound. I highly recommend Trey as
a horseshoer. Not only is he a great horseshoer he is also very
punctual and very good at following up.

 Everyone
attempts to do their best, but few consistently strive for perfection
and don't settle for mediocrity. Trey doesn't just do the job,
he pursues to exceed the expectations of the owner.
I have known and worked with Trey for 10 yrs. We have worked on
everything from the basic foot, to the severe rotation associated
with laminitis, to the show horse with a bruise that needs to
perform tomorrow. Trey consistently pushes to better himself and
looks for better ways to deal with horses needing corrective shoeing.
Trey appreciates that keeping horses sound is a team effort and
works hand in hand with your veterinarian to give the horse the
best chance at long term soundness and balanced foot care. For
routine foot care to the most intensive corrective shoeing its
with the highest regards I recommend Trey Moncrief.

It's refreshing to work with a farrier
who is not only professional, but knowledgeable and meticulous as
well. Some of my horses have less than ideal feet; therefore, keeping
them sound and ready to perform is a challenge. Trey is able to
do that better than anyone else I have worked with. He is also accepting
of a collaborative effort between farrier, vet and owner alike.
Should there be a problem with a lost or sprung shoe, Trey's response
time is immediate. I have referred several of my firends to Trey
and will continue to do so with confidence!

Trey does beautiful work on my arabian show horse "Ihavemagicpowers"
a.k.a Bugsy and my rescued quarterhorse Hustler. What's important
to me in a horseshoer is someone who is kind and gentle with my
horses, educated and actually shows up! Trey fulfills all these
and more. I never have to worry about their feet again, he shows
up to all their appointments so I don't have to make any calls wondering
when he is going to come and their feet are balanced and sound.
I recommend Trey to anyone who's horses and time are very important
to them.

As a former apprentice of Trey's and having a long
first hand relationship, Trey's passion for horseshoeing is like
none I have ever seen. In the three years I have worked with Trey,
and now being a successful horseshoer, the quality of work Trey
provides is the best I have seen. Trey has the knowledge and experience
to shoe any horse in any discipline.

“Trey came recommended to us from our vet and has been
shoeing our horses since 2004. Our thoroughbreds come from the track,
some with serious lameness issues others with the horrible “racetrack
feet” of all toe and no heel. Trey knows exactly what to do
and does a fabulous job of getting their feet turned around so we
can get them on the road to a new career. Having a farrier that can
read vet reports and communicate so well with us and our vet is a
godsend. Every 6 weeks to the day our horses are shod right on schedule.
In 2008-2009 we hunted two of our horses in the hunt field for the
first time and never lost a shoe all season!

Trey Moncrief has been shoeing my horses for a number
of years. As my husband will cheerfully tell you, I am very picky
and sometimes difficult to please- or as I would put it- detail
oriented. Any way you look at it, Trey meets and exceeds my expectations.
His efforts in working with me and my veterinarian have kept at
least 2 of my horses jumping for 2 years longer than we expected.
Additionally, and very important to me, he is very kind and gentle
in dealing with the horses. He is reliable and listens to rider
input and concerns. I highly recommend Trey to anyone seeking a
quality farrier.
